Where I'm From
I am from the grass,
the air and trees.
I am from the piles of leaves.
(Cold but comfy)
I am from the forest
the pines and birch
with their arm like branches
creating an umbrella over me while I lay.
I’m from the greenhouse, the farmland and movie theater,
from Tony and Debra.
I’m from the fake spiders
and spooky songs all year long.
I’m from sunrise school mornings
and midnight weekends.
I’m from the homemade dinners and family time
I’m from the day we lost our grandma to herself
and the day my grandpa couldn't remember
I’m from the day I met Sairah and fell in love
I am from these moments
and I will carry them forever
