Sleep
I close my eyes but I don't sleep
I wait and I listen.
I wait for a sign that I might never see,
And a sound that is presented only to me.
So I close my eyes but I don't sleep.
I know if I ever see this sign
And the sound that is presented only to me,
There will be warmth and peace.
No longer will I be alone
Because of the love that surrounds me.
Until then I shall close my eyes
But I will not sleep.
I'll wait and I'll listen.
I'll wait for a sign that I might never see,
And a sound that is presented only to me.
