Summer
Shoulder’s slumped, feet rocking
Cheeks on fists, eyes turned down
Secrets given, teacher’s talking
Don’t talk loudly, watch for frowns
Nails bitten, lips are licked
Flirty stares from class clown
Swing your legs, desks are kicked
Hungry eyes please leave this town
Take your notes, repeat this sound
Drop a pencil on the ground
Ugly books are written down
No extra sheets are to be found
Bells are rung, chairs pushed out
Teacher sits, no one’s around
That was fun, I highly doubt
Back from summer, tanned and browned
