Used Book Store
the used bookstore
looks like an old, withering woman
sitting in a rocking chair
beside an artificial fireplace
it smells musty
like ideas that have sat out too long
and have become fermented with age
but still healthy enough to consume
the feeling that floods every corner
is an overwhelming nostalgia;
a fond rewind down memory lane
and a curious flash forward into the future
inside the shelter of the store
the sounds of hard work, trial and error
frustration, and relieved satisfaction
bounce off the wooden shelves
