I assist the Ruler of the Underworld.
For once he places me over his head,
he will not be seen.
He almost never leaves
this gloomy kingdom he reigns.

When he does decide to leave,
he uses me to help him
stay away from the looks.
He does not want others on Earth to see
him.
I protect him from the eyes.
The eyes that do nothing but judge him.
They only show him respect
because they are afraid of him.
Hades is a greedy god, he wants as many
souls in this world as possible.
The Ruler is a dictator for the dead.
He was made solely for the dead.

The Cyclops created me, after
they were freed during the Great War.
I prefer to sit in the dark,
disturbingly comforting land
with the dead walking.
They live like they are in
a miserable dream.
They have no purpose,
all they do is wander.

Seven sinister sections
make up the land of the dead.
Before the entrance to Hades live
grief,
anxiety,
diseases,
old age.
I sit beside the ebony throne
that my owner uses as a place
to rule, because he knows
how fearsome he looks.
He makes punishments
to those who have committed crimes
against the Gods.

The empty minds of the dead never think,
their blank souls roam around aimlessly.
Their minds are as dark as a pen’s black ink.

I admire my ruler for all that he is.
I radiate fear.
I am his weapon.
