The Lioness
Do not play with me
I am fire I do get burned
I am glass I do break
I am the sea, I drown your words
They fall at the bottom
Never to be found again
I am a star, I burn at night
But when you reach for me
I reach back and burn myself more
As your fingers lace with mine
And your arms wrap me inch by inch
The core becomes very warm
It blazes even more
Fiery streaks gallop all around
I cannot burn further
I am a lioness, I growl at the stranger
I lunge on the enemy
But I purr under your touch
And find myself
Gripping on your shirt
Tasting your lips
Dying each moment
You move them gruesomely against mine
Only to know that
I have died centuries ago
I have drowned your words
I have burned myself
I have lived a life
And that you have left the lioness behind.
