I find comfort in the night under
cloud covered stars,
black painted houses
and a shy, hiding moon
I find sadness
in the reminiscent sun
filtering through unwashed windows,
casting shadows behind us,
gold hazing atop homes and
disappearing into
night
I find my reflection
through my dull painted nails,
pulled curtains,
black coffee,
and people of pain.
