The Girl He Never Knew
He walks by the street
with no name,
and the girl he doesn’t know
exists.
She watches him go
by every day. She never goes out
to say hi. She’s afraid of what he’d say; that’s the reason
he doesn’t know the girl exists.
He walks by today, but something steals
his eyes from the road ahead. Two blue eyes.
Staring out a window. The girl
he never knew.
She sees him looking her way,
her breath is stolen. Chocolate eyes.
He turns and walks down the street with no name
towards the girl he never knew.
He sees her blink; try to figure this out.
Knocking on the door, he hoped she’d answer.
The door opened; but just a crack, and to the girl he never knew
he said, “Hey!”

I wrote this last year for a Creative Writing class and was just wondering what other writers might think. Enjoy!
