Country Fall
Leaves on the trees almost all gone
Covering the ground below
Grass long green and thick
I can hear the roar a tractor in the distance
It’s never quiet out here
always something running
Lady bugs flying around my face
If only the neighbor would not plant beans
At night they disappear desperately trying to find warmth
Cows waiting for feed
Running out of the shed at first sight of the tractor
Running to the bunk as if feed were gold
The sun rising
Revealing everything that was left in darkness
There is always something to be done
It’s always GO GO GO
There is never enough time in a day
Sunset comes
Farmers trying to get everything
done before darkness falls
