Hard Love
The bell about to ring
waiting to the sound of chance
as it rings running out of the room
like a bullet leaving a gun
Sprinting to my locker
grabbing any folder I can grab
walking as fast as I can
hoping to see her at her locker
turning the corner my heart rises
Waiting day after day
Waiting for the day I turn 16
So we can go to a movie or a date
Not having to worry about parents driving us
Or having miles separate us from all things
