Two Colors
I am a soft shade of sky blue;
Sensitive with a cool breeze,
Level-tempered like a good man.
Somedays the sky fills with clouds,
And I am lost in my own world,
Selfish, fearful, and lonely.
But when I see her walk in and look at me,
My heart races and simultaneously drops,
I’m stuck stiff and jaw-dropped like an idiot.
She is what makes me turn into blood red,
Passionate and a feeling of desire,
Needed and can’t live without.
Blue is what they see, red is how I feel,
Awkward and ardent,
Soft and infatuated.
