what the astronomy books won't tell you
and i want him to appreciate the moles running down the side of my thigh like a constellation,
like they are orion’s belt itself.
my body’s constellation will peak his interest about astronomy: who hung the moon?
and i will tell him that i hung the moon, just for him, my love. just for him.
we will lay together and i will point one frail finger to the stars, point out every one until i’ve rounded them together.
and i will say that i put those there for him to show how much i love him, just for him, my love. just for him.
talk about the wonders of space, who put those wonders there will peak his interest about people: who put us here?
and i will tell him that i was put here for him, to give him the happiness he has always deserved. just for him, my love. just for him.
he will come to know that i love him so much that i would break every bone, snap every nerve, rip every muscle in my anatomy just to move the planets where he wants them.
