I Am...
I am thoughtful and determined
I wonder how people can be so ignorant
I hear her pleas to be heard
I see the struggles she faces
I want us to be heard
I am thoughtful and determined
I pretend I have a chance
I feel the weight of her problems
I touch the surface before breaking through
I worry that she won’t make it
I cry so she doesn’t have to
I am thoughtful and determined
I understand she will never know my name
I say she must know
I dream of a happy ending
I try to help her see
I hope I can save her
I am thoughtful and determined
