Never shall I forget
Never shall I forget
The moments in my life
That make me stronger
That make me wiser
I will never forget the feeling of being sad
When we walked past his little lifeless body
In a box the size of his little bed
So sad was that day
I will not forget the feeling of being small
They said mean things making feel as though
I was breaking and alone, I felt small
Smaller than a grain of sand
I will not forget the feeling of being strong
Accepting myself, loving myself
Fighting for my place as they laughed
I became stronger that day
I will not forget the feeling of hope
When I heard his first cry, his beautiful eyes
His soft little hands and tiny little toes
At that moment I felt hope for the world a new life
The feeling of acceptance a soft touch
Like feeling the sun on your face
My mother's words you are beautiful
Don't ever change for other people, we love you
But most of all, I shall never forget love
We can’t explain love, we can’t find it hiding
Love has always been there always
So just take it by the hand it will guide you
