enough
He lashed out without remorse. A daughter never imagined she’d be terrified of her own father. She never thought that one day she’d become a victim. A victim of an absent mind and forgotten soul. A father’s touch is a sacred thing. He used to make the hurt disappear, now he is the perpetrator. A pain that seeps deep into what was left of her heart. Nothing seems to be good enough. The straight A’s and Ivy League acceptance letters weren’t enough for a father of the highest expectations. She must be better, but how far can you push an innocent soul? When will she finally break? Shattered into millions of pieces she lies. The cold mahogany caresses her bruised skin and restless heart. She has had enough.
