If nothing ever changed,
there would be no fall.
Leaves wouldn’t change color
and grow more beautiful
as they fall.

If nothing ever changed,
that bud would never bloom.
It would never be the rose
that made the girl so happy
at her last show.

If nothing ever changed,
the sun wouldn’t rise.
There would be no warm morning light
to wake you,
or calm, starry night.

If nothing ever changed,
nothing would’ve ever happened.
It would still be the beginning of time.
There would be no Earth,
no clock would ever chime.

So change is a good thing.
Don’t be afraid.
You never know what could happen.
It’s not always best to stay the same.
