Taking
Your innocent stature sat behind me for days,
in class and in the back of my mind.
Your chestnut hair and hazel eyes bore into my head,
searching the strands of my aqua hair for something misplaced.
Our hands swapped gestures of paragraphs and notes
about the future between us.
Walking together
down the road of reckless decisions,
we make choices to disrupt my happiness.
Your hands in my hair, it isn’t fair,
the look in your eyes as you tower over me while I’m doing something as pure as first time sin,
ecstasy flows through my veins as the scent of smoke fills through my nose,
because the coat I’m wearing was yours,
it reminds me of the times we hid behind trees to fill our lungs with the exhaust
of stress relieving bliss.
And your kiss
corrupting my mind from what’s important in life.
You don’t have the right to take what’s mine,
you’re hypocritical when it comes to love
you told me it wasn’t meant for me and you, but then I turn around
and she’s in your arms with your lips connected to hers.
