Consolation
Consolation
(comfort received by a person after a loss)
If it’s no alleviation,
I would like to concur
That it’s true you have lost so much more than just her
You lost her small smile
They way that she read books
And the way her eyes sparkled when you told stupid jokes
But now you won’t smile
And neither will she
Because it’s all over
And she’s gone for you and for me.
So if it’s no alleviation,
I would like to concur
That now she is dead
And your feelings unturned
