Sleep
Sleep calls to me but I fight it.
I fight it when it comes in the morning and continue to go about my day.
I fight it when it comes in the afternoon while I am trying to do my homework.
I fight it in the evening while I eat dinner.
Seven o’clock, eight o’clock, and nine o’clock roll around, but I still fight it.
Then the clock chimes ten.
Sleep beckons me up the stairs and to my warm bed where I fall into a peaceful sleep.
