Where I'm From
I am from a single mother, whom I rarely saw
Moving every month
Old, small, dirty apartment style
My older sister taking care of my sister and me
Clothes reeked of smoke, I couldn’t escape
I was the outcast
My past.
I am from a cute, grey house
Neighborhood filled with kids playing in the streets
Walking distance from school
A varsity athlete with scholarships
An exceptional student who has a job
My present.
I will be from a prestigious school
A college graduate and athlete
Major in public relations and psychology
Works to help others everyday
Good neighborhood, good job, good husband
Have lots of kids that,
won’t be an outcast like I was
My future.
