Human Nature
There is a certain nature
A certain nature of humans
One I can’t quite explain
But I will try to describe it
I went on a small hike
With my school group
And at the end
As I walked back down the trail,
I saw the most awe- inspiring sight.
The brink of autumn
Commanded the great Aspens
And their small cold leaves to shift
To a bright squash color.
The mountains littered in
Green and yellow
And a few lines of orange
And the world was untouched,
Waiting for the brush of my pencil
And the paint of my words.
And that is true human nature.
