Baby Steps
You were starting to slowly crawl like a baby,
Tumbles here and there followed by soft cries
No one likes seeing babies cry
And even though you’re not one
I fell apart when you did
Soon you began to saunter like an infant
Joyfully and carelessly
I was a cheerful guide.
Guiding your steps
And teaching you how to keep your balance
I understand, when you’re learning
how to walk
You will fall confusedly
It may cause some scratches on your elbows
It may cause some broken bones
We’ll never know
When you fall for someone,
Do you break because of the fall
Or
Do they
Break you?
