Do you see me?
I see you.
Rancid and battered. Hollowed out,
I’m unsure if I’m evident to those around me.
Do you see me?
I see you.
Looking at my fingertips. Fading,
I’m afraid it’s my time to find peace in oblivion.
Do you see me?
I see you.
My words will not come out. Yearning,
I’m moving past such people with mediocrity.
