She opened me up
Inserting her heart
Sealed in an envelope
Destined to fall apart
A new one appeared each week
She waited for one in return
I scanned each letter
Waiting for her turn
She opened me up
Hoping for a letter
That never appeared
She deserved better
She looked at me, tearful
And in a new one came
I knew it was the last
Because with her tears it was stained
