In the moonlight, the wind gently blowing on

Across the silver meadow, the noise of humans gone,

The full moon shining ever so bright

A humongous beacon of light,

Shimmering across the small pond in the darkest of nights

The fireflies blitzing by, looking like falling stars

The cricket humming it's meladous bars

The trees sway calming and flexible

The knowledge of daybreak strangly regretable

The meadow entirely silver and magnifecent

The rippling pond refelcting the moon and it's benelovlence

The stars twinkling up high

Some of them across the sky do they fly

Knights of the night they are

So close, yet so very far

Loyally serving their Queen the moon

Escorting her across the horizon, daybreaks soon

Along to the brilliant sun does she pass her crown

Trailing her wonderously sparkling gown

Across the dead of night

Not at all responsible for horrible frights

A beauty she is the moon, half the day is hers

More beautiful than that of the brightest fleurs
