Bruised Moonlight
my shrieks--
are wound around twilit moonbeams,
the irregularities in the light,
patched with rose petals
my tears--
outlined with the audacity
of fading dreams
an unanswered question scrapes
the ends of my eager larynx
my ankles gliding
in frosty moon glow,
the spaces between my toes
filled with stars
your smile--
unwinds my twisted shrieks
from around moonbeams,
I fumble with the soft petals,
that patch the deep irregularities,
in the fragile light,
bruised moonlight
I percieve deepening sights
with softening smiles
my grandmother's dreams
thrust into the wounds
on bruised moonlight
