Ink Will Come
Cries of entering a world unknown,
The ink on your small feet stain the page.
Named after your mother’s birthstone,
More ink will come to tell your age.
Two happy souls, with ring in hand,
You vow your love that shall never change.
Your names inked together like your wedding bands,
More ink will come to tell your age.
‘Deceased” the ink says, your life fills the page,
No more ink will come to tell your age.
