Wonder
Ever wish you could tell someone your deepest thoughts?
Loving someone is hard but love in general puts down your guard.
He stays up the night, describing the light
he could be sleeping but he doesn’t like you stressing
you could talk for hours, night stars moving with the cold night showers
talking about the world is the best part
what’s happening to the ducks? or the thousands of animals endangered all over the lands?
You start to think, could you really feel love with only just a blink?
your heart flatters, you feel anxiety, you feel the smile creep up your lips as you think through the weeks.
could you really love him? you stop to wonder.
you’re nervous and anxious and run to google for help, oh wait, these are the symptoms that make you yelp.
now you’re done, don’t really know what to do
i think it’s time to put away the phone
there’s no more time to wonder
you’ll cry with the thunder.
you start to drift, you begin to think
is he really worth the pain i’m about to receive?
your feelings just feel lost but his feelings feel like a frost
all this time wasted into one has turned into a vaccine shot.
you’re crying, feeling the heat frying;
what happens now is all up to fate
deciding if the two of you should date.
people don’t see what love does,
people describe love as a fuzz;
something you want but hard to get
now you just find everyone a threat.
