Incredulity
is the uncoiled snake with eyes
darting north, south, east,

west every second,
waiting to spring forth—strike!—from
the misguided heart.

The author's comments:
Recently, I found out I had trust issues. I didn't know, until I started trusting someone, who turned out to be someone else than they portrayed themselves to be. So, if you're not trusting, it's ok. A little paranoia isn't all that bad. This is a personal poem...for once.
