Human
Pain let's me know that I'm alive
So mental scars are proof of my existence
My anguish makes my heart beat inside
More mental lashes given
The constance of my trepidation
Embraces all of those near me
When I have one of my off days
You may even grow to fear me
My tears fall like rain
When something scalds my mind
And when people ask their questions
"I don't know" I hide behind
When I bleed because I'm cut
Or when I change color through a bruise
I don't want anyone to heal it
Especially not you
But this is not life
It's not what makes us human
The happiness that we all want
Makes the journey worth living though it.
