This fractious puppy played all the day long
With a string that was really a thong
The lady thought it was wrong
So she chased him all nightlong
This puppy didn’t care all yearlong
The grouchy lady cried all day
Wishing she would get him on the bay
Even though he got away
She laid food on the hallway
Waiting ever since Thursday
