Dash My Foot Against A Stone
Today I dash my foot against a stone
Because I found that what we had were lies
And while the skin peels and the blood runs warm
I erase the evidence that I ever tried
I should have known it would be like this
Rushing things, hurry hurry
Investing money, time, and blood
None of which I had enough
It hurts to walk because of you
And while you don't care I really did
I dash the other so that your lies
Don't invoke off balancing change
My footprints leave behind glittering crimson
I think that's the color of her hidden eyes
Her tongue is silver so I bought in
To all the hidden lies
The pain I brought myself only serves to nullify
Besides, I wouldn't use a blade on myself
I'm not worthy of that
So says you.
