Disturbances
Who am I to think
That what I do is good?
That what I choose
Is the likelihood
That the world will be a
Happier place
And that tomorrow will not
Be an utter disgrace?
Who am I to think
That this small act of defiance
Will lead me to some sort of
Glorious alliance?
When really the ones
That I care for the most
Are the ones I seem
Inclined to boast
The fact that I can't
Keep a hold of my own
And am too weak
To defend against the stone
But then I think
Were the tables turned
Then I'd be in power
And I'd watch them be burned
Watch them see
What it's like to live
The monotonous days
I'd give
Up instantly for the
Sake of survival
For some interruption
Crucial for my revival
