The Colors of Eve
She dyes the world in midnight black
And they scream in terror at her scorned wrath.
She paints the world a crimson red
While cities burn as she rests her head.
She shines the purple lantern’s hue
On a stormy morning’s resplendent dew.
She cloaks the shore in emerald green
And hides our secrets beneath the screen.
She paints the sunset orange and yellow
As if the entire world would bask in life so mellow.
She lays her head on ivory cotton
Where we come to sleep and to be forgotten.
