Torn
At the end of every school day,
Basketball was what he would play,
Running all over the place,
But now he wears a brace,
Because he tore his ACL.
In the fall everything was fine,
Shooting from the line,
He used to be energetic,
Until he needed a medic,
Because he tore his ACL.
He said he didn’t feel pain,
But that was taken in vain,
Basketball was Matt’s glory,
Which led to his surgery,
Because he tore his ACL.

During this past winter, my friend tore his ACL at a basketball practice. He's doing better now, but I thought that it would be funny if I wrote a poem about it.
