Gone
How can one be so, so strong
When I am so, so weak
Why must I wait so very long
To learn to truly speak
I am vastly forgiving
But forget I will never quite
For I am still something living
And I need to be guided by light
But sometimes a shadow covers the sun
And the light inside flickers out
That’s when the dark knows its work is done
For from the sun, light will no longer spout
A world that was once so bright and colored
Is now so dark and gray
The light has been solemnly blurred
And gloomy the world shall stay
The light is now nearly forgotten
Everyone’s adjusted to dark
All the colors, they felt like cotton
Compared to shadow, the difference is stark
Gone from the world is the beauty
Gone from the world is the light
Gone from the world is the ecstasy
And gone with that joy is the fight

This is a poem I wrote because, well, why not? I needed to write something, so I did. That's really all.
