Evergreen
Looking through the window
There’s no surprise
Looking in the mirror
There’s still happiness in your eyes
You’ve fallen down
You can only go up from here
Don’t be afraid
Have no fear
If you ever forget
And you start to regret, remember
This won’t be forever
It shouldn’t last a long time
If you always remember
What’s on the other side
I came up with the first part and the title while looking through a window, believe it or not. When writing poetry, I want to write something that could not only help or inspire me, but others as well. Evergreen is a source of comfort to me, so I hope it is to others too.
