childs tears

once upon a time
in my dreams,
in my heart,
and in my hopes
i wished away the tears,
the child's tears that stung my eyes.
i felt childish.
i felt stupid
you made me this way.
oh how i wish the tears would fade to a distant dream,
a thought,
a memory.
