Waiting For My Autumn Bliss
Verse 1:
Savior from my misery
who always helps me believe
that love makes the world turn round.
Bodies touch for a second.
Poetry in the form of a dance,
beads of sweat become the diamonds
the fire of everyone’s desires.
I need you in my life, my savior and lover.
Chorus:
Waiting for the days,
when the shades of gold and red leaves
perform ballet for all to see.
Wishing for the whispers of your voice
amongst the trees from that afternoon,
you said “I love you.”
The sun was shining brightly,
casting a glow on your face.
The leaves were dancing
I don’t ever want another,
I only want my autumn bliss.
Verse 2:
My mind craves the memories of you,
laying on the grass in the park
at your best.
You’re my rockstar.
That day I realized,
I want to be wherever you are.
Chorus:
Waiting for the days,
when the shades of gold and red leaves
perform ballet for all to see.
Wishing for the whispers of your voice
amongst the trees from that afternoon,
you said “I love you.”
The sun was shining brightly,
casting a glow on your face.
The leaves were dancing
I don’t ever want another,
I only want my autumn bliss.
Verse 3:
Never let me go
I haven’t yet absorbed all your warmth.
I will never get tired
of exploring all of you.
As each day passes,
I dread the time
I have to pick up and go home
and leave my comfort
leave my happiness
until next year.
I miss you aready.
Chorus:
Waiting for the days,
when the shades of gold and red leaves
perform ballet for all to see.
Wishing for the whispers of your voice
amongst the trees from that afternoon,
you said “I love you.”
The sun was shining brightly,
casting a glow on your face.
The leaves were dancing
I don’t ever want another,
I only want my autumn bliss.
Verse 4:
Clasping on to the note you left,
my tears are soaking the paper
and all the words you gave to me.
and I’m waiting for you like
a dead soldiers wife waits for
the letter that will never come.
My only escape is drifting
back to the memories.
I long to run my fingers through your hair
and feel you intertwined in me
Chorus:
Waiting for the days,
when the shades of gold and red leaves
perform ballet for all to see.
Wishing for the whispers of your voice
amongst the trees from that afternoon,
you said “I love you.”
The sun was shining brightly,
casting a glow on your face.
The leaves were dancing
I don’t ever want another,
I only want my autumn bliss.
