Palace of Stars
O Mother Moon, in her Palace of Stars,
Fell in love with a kind man called Father Sun.
He kissed her and asked her to be his wife.
With a smile on her face, she gladly replied.
“My dear friend and doer of all I know good,
I will love you forever and be your wife.
Now take my hand, let us fly to the stars,
Where we will dance through the night,
Dance through the night.”
In their Palace of Stars, they danced through the night,
But soon daybreak came, Father Sun had to leave.
He promised our mother that he would see her soon,
And they would dance through the night,
Dance through the night.
The forests had withered, the flowers had died,
Because Father Sun had danced with the Moon.
He could not leave his sky, and neither could she,
If the forests were to forever be.
So Mother Moon sent her children of stars,
They came to the forests with gifts from above.
They flew near their father and they glowed like the moon,
And they saved the forest that was near to its end.
Now the moral my children is to use what you have,
Even if there’s nothing you have but yourself.
Like our Mother Moon, and Father Sun,
And their Palace of Stars,
Palace of Stars.
