This Page
It doesn't matter that I wrote your name,
wrote it down on every single page.
In this book of poetry I've made,
It doesn't matter that love is every other page,
and every second one is scribbled with hate.
I know that you'll never find it anyway.
No, you'll never get to see this page.
and if you did, I didn't sign it anyway.
I'm not one to sign my life away...
It doesn't matter that it speaks the truth,
every word I never said to you,
doesn't matter that the crowd can hear these words,
'cause to everyone else my face is but a blur.
This book can never make me feel afraid.
This book is brutal honesty,
'cause I make sure that it's that way.
This book, I know is safe,
'cause to this one, I'll never sign my name.
