Serenity
I hide my face
They can not seen the shame
A bleeding heart
Crying in pain
My smile is my mask
The one that everybody believes
One of these days everyone will see
I’m the girl who hides behind a smile
And does not let you see the pain inside
The girl who wants to cry
Who can barely hold it inside
The one with lots of friends
But no one to confide in
They all think I’m perfect
They think there's nothing wrong
That’s because they believe the mask
The mask of serenity
Another night lying awake
I stare at the ceiling
Trying to ignore the pain
It keeps creeping in
I need something to believe in
Something to hold me together
When there is nothing else
I’m the girl who hides behind a smile
And does not let you see the pain inside
The girl who wants to cry
Who can barely hold it inside
The one with lots of friends
But no one to confide in
They all think I’m perfect
They think there's nothing wrong
That’s because they believe the mask
The mask of serenity
Without my friends
I don’t know I could still be livin’
My little piece of sanity
Keeping my mask in place
I watch them all smilin’
Wishin' I could feel there bliss
There never ending happiness
But I move on
Knowing one day I'm gonna get out of here
And find my little piece of happiness
But for now I'm just dreamin'
Dreamin' of the life That could've been
I’m the girl who hides behind a smile
And does not let you see the pain inside
The girl who wants to cry
Who can barely hold it inside
The one with lots of friends
But no one to confide in
They all think I’m perfect
They think there's nothing wrong
That’s because they believe the mask
The mask of serenity
I need god now more than ever
I need his confidence
His faith
I need to know I have him
When everything else is Fading away
When everything else is tiring me down
I look up to my lord
I feel his love
He gives me the strength to smile again
The strength to love hope
And to press on with life
I’m the girl who hides behind a smile
And does not let you see the pain inside
The girl who wants to cry
Who can barely hold it inside
The one with lots of friends
But no one to confide in
They all think I’m perfect
They think there's nothing wrong
That’s because they believe the mask
The mask of serenity
