Her love into ruin
In the tale of this girl
who'd cry and wail
no one would ask her why
no one would question
the reaction to a lie
they'd seen it once before
time and time again
it was an endless cycle
yet she prayed for an end
to stop the pounding in her head
her hopes and her dreams
held with expense
had thoughts wishing her dead
heaven take this broken soul
that on earth
had nothing better to know
(Chorus)
There was a drip
then a drop
and soon her tears
wouldn't stop
she cried so long
her voice went away
forever and a day
she could never sing a song
only follow with her eyes
bluer than the sky
and sadder than a melancholy tune
she hurt until she died
turning her love into ruin
(End of chorus)
She didn't want no charity
she only needed clarity
a life with no confusion
the mess that she was
she was a broken promise
promised to be his
a swear on the ever changing moon
if their swears didn't stop soon
after being hurt with pains she inflicted
there was a goal that didn't nick it
sometimes people lose the will to live
she lost hers
the day he won his
(Chorus)
her life into ruin
it was all her doin
telling her friends to stay away
kicking her family out
by the end of the day
she wasn't too proud to ask for them back
she had nothing to pride in
for goodness she lacked
and every dream
was torn apart at its seams
to see a dying awful truth
an honesty this world let loose
she didn't want to trust again
she'd rather die
locked lonely in her pen
then feel the death
of a heart ripped in two
or the feeling of her fingers
ripping theirs too
life was too short
to find mr. perfect
she found life
was too hectic
so she died alone
and gone away
a broken soul
no one was fit to hold
it had started when...(chorus)
