Verse 1:
Poison to my soul
I gave you all control
this light at the end of the tunnel
is only getting farther away

Acid to my skin
your in it for the win
this light at the end of the tunnel
is no longer there

Chorus:
You gave me no outs
you kept putting me down
but you couldn't let go
you wouldn't let go
as much as you said
you wanted me dead
you wouldn't let go
you couldn't let go

Verse 2:
No air to my lungs
you expect me to breathe
keep me in the dark
you still expect me to see

Bridge:
You say your holding out
but baby I've run out
my hearts been drained
the words ripped from my mouth
any longer
and I won't make it
I am stronger
and I won't take it

Chorus:
You gave me no outs
you kept putting me down
but you couldn't let go
you wouldn't let go
as much as you said
you wanted me dead
you wouldn't let go
you couldn't let go

Verse 2 (Repeat):
No air to my lungs
you expect me to breathe
keep me in the dark
you still expect me to see

I'm gonna let go
I have to let go
If you love me you'll know
you have to let go

I absolutely love this. I enjoy writing songs and I'm a singer too, and my friend helps me to write melodies. If you don't already have a melody, and you don't mind, can we use this and sing it next time we get a chance to perform? It's such brilliant lyrics.
