Sleep Away
I lay in my bed
Swimming in my thoughts.
The sun reminds me
That time goes on.
Forget about the job,
Leave the phone on the shelf.
Pillow over my head,
Forget about myself.
Tears start to form,
The pain will never leave.
Your laugh is so loud,
Your smile meant to tease.
Sleep the pain away,
I do it everyday.
I dream of your smile,
And you're mine for a while.
Cry myself to sleep,
To see you in my dreams.
The sun,
It tears you away.
The phone rings,
and i answer it to say:
I'm fine, don't worry,
Sleep is my medicine.
I don't need food, nor people,
Only the bed that I'm in.
I'll go out, my friends won't stop.
I'll spend my money, if they want me to shop.
If I had my way, I would...
Sleep the pain away,
I do it everyday.
I dream of your smile
And you're mine for a while.
Cry myself to sleep,
To see you in my dreams.
Laying in bed,
Thoughts that start to fade.
A whisper in my head,
Time will make the pain fade.
