&quot; All that is gold does not glitter. Not all who wonder are lost.....&quot; <br /> -Tolkien

I see her each and every year
sitting in the same old place
she looks confused and in painI wonder when that look will change

Does she know
does she understand
does she remember
it hurts me now to see her in such pain
but then i remember
even though now its hard to see
one day she'll be free

with all the time that passes by
i see her body but not her mind
its creeping in and stealing her
shes not the one i remember

does she know
does she understand
does she remember
it hurts me now to see her in such pain
but then i remeber
even though now its hard to see
one day she'll be free

lying there so peacfully
surrounded by her family
and as she slips into deaths sleep
she rises with the holy spirit

now she knows me
now she understands
now she remembers
i think of her now
in that gorgeous place
so i always know
even though she was in such pain
now she's flying free

I applaud you for showing such strength during what must be a difficult time for you, describing her pain, her suffering, and your pain as well. You show an acceptance of death at then end with grace and valor. For you first, you write. Songwriting is difficult, but with time, you get better and better. Keep at it, because your on a good start. Also, I love how personal this is. Maybe you should write more personal songs, might be your forte in songwriting.
