Favorite Quote:
Fate Fell Short.

I had once been a flower,
planted neatly in the ground.
But the wind, rain, and hail;
they continued to wear me down.

My petals were all gone,
the storm made them go away.
I decided to shed my colors,
there was no reason for them to stay.

I had become a blade of grass,
in a field of a thousand flowers
collecting sorrow and sadness in me,
becoming more suffocated every hour.

I needed someone special,
to come and calm the storm.
I needed another broken flower,
with a heart that had been worn.

You were the someone I needed,
you brought a change in heart.
You helped me see love in everything,
instead of tearing me apart.

I was no longer a blade of grass
hidden in my mind's darkest hour,
I was a bright and beautiful daisy,
in a field of a thousand sunflowers.

My friends inspired me to write this poem; they make me remember why I'm here, and inspire me to be truly happy. I hope people can read this and see that like me, your life may be hard at that particular point in time, but it does get better, and you will find people that love and care about you.
