Omega
I know I shouldn't have gotten to know your name
God knows I should of known you would never change
Because I still want you in the same way
I want more of you, the longer you're away
I wish words could do me justice tonight
Find a string of sentiments to get you to wanna hold me tight
Yet you float your way downstream, without a care
Because no wave of words I'd say could get you to want me there
You're happy, in your right reality
Maybe distant stars and mirages are all I'm destined to see
You can go far, spawning smiles as you go
You're the one everyone one loves, and you don't even seem to know
It hurts so fine, whenever you talk to me, how you always leave right when I think you want me around
Part of me dies, whenever I see your face, emotions thrown out of place, trying to get floating thoughts to touch ground
Because you simply smile, then walk out of sight
Then I remember: I'm an omega in your life
You paint pictures, masterpieces with your voice
Diction so delightful, Deceitful bunch of noise
I fall under your words and their spell
Casted by the joy and insight that every syllable expels
But that's just the way you are
I'm no notable another, no luminescent star
A sky of stars, I'm a simple satellite
One that fakes being remarkable with artificial light
But if there's one thing I know
You have a much more meaningful, brilliant type of glow
You're not a star that's like all the rest
You're a universe at your worse, I'm space trash at best
It hurts so fine, whenever you talk to me, how you always leave right when I think you want me around
Part of me dies, whenever I see your face, emotions thrown out of place, trying to get floating thoughts to touch ground
Because you simply smile, then walk out of sight
Then I remember: I'm an omega in your life
I know I’m not special, to you I know I’m just the same
Doesn’t stop my hopeless heart, praying that you mind might change
But I know you won’t want to linger in my light
It’s too weak and superficial, that’s why you won’t think of me tonight
Torment, torture, no satisfaction, no closure
It hurts so fine, whenever you talk to me, how you always leave right when I think you want me around
Part of me dies, whenever I see your face, emotions thrown out of place, trying to get floating thoughts to touch ground
Because you simply smile, then walk out of sight
Then I remember: I'm an omega in your life
It hurts so fine, whenever you talk to me, how you always leave right when I think you want me around
Part of me dies, whenever I see your face, emotions thrown out of place, trying to get floating thoughts to touch ground
Because you simply smile, then walk out of sight
I fight my thoughts, since won’t think of me tonight
This friendly rejection's just so hard to fight
Since I know: I'm an omega in your eyes
