The Key
Every time you just, cross my mind. I can’t find a way to let these wings make me fly. I’ve really put some effort in leaving these demons behind.
Chained by my ankles, trying to break free. But how can I leave? When you’re the key.
Every time you speak in my mind. I can’t find a way to break this tie. I’ve really tried to leave my past behind. Thrown into a cell, my pool of tears is my wishing well. I want to be free,
but I can’t when you’re the key.
Every time, you make me lose my mind. There’s no way that I can make you cry. My wings are broken, far behind. Freed from my heart, trying to leave, when you’re the key.
This is the last time I cross your mind. You can’t help, but think about how you fly and about the memories you left behind.
Chained by your ankles, trying to break free, but you can’t leave. Because this time, I’m the key.
