“I’ve got a drink in my hand, but I know it’s not bad-
so just try to understand, what’s in the times that we had-
and when I see you again, I’m at the bottom of my glass-
I’m gonna drink this whole can, and no I don’t think I’m sad-
and with you, in my thoughts, there’s no pain, there’s no cost-
Just this can, in my hand, just forget, what we’ve lost-
Fill my cup with your heart, and fill my bed with lullabies-
and my beating kick-starts, when I look into your eyes-
when I’m trying to start my car, and I finally realize-
it’s the liquor on your lips, that dares me to drive-
and with you, in my thoughts, all the pain, that i’ve fought-
Numbs away, here I stay, until my liver runs away-
Because I’m not backing down, and no I’m not cutting off-
I may look like a clown, when I’ve almost drank enough-
Put your fingertips down, or I’ll have to call the cops-
It’s illegal the way you make me feel, I can never get enough-
With that look, in your eyes, you’re an angel, no disguise-
Seraphim, they can’t win, against the way the way that you walk by-”
